The University of Utah partnered with us to create a vision for a new typology of building that would act as a central hub on campus and foster their active entrepreneurial community of students, alumni, and VCs in the city of Salt Lake.

As part of our process, our team facilitated an engaging learning journey for the client team, which exposed them to organizations in the Bay Area and New York City that are leading the way in providing creative working environments and innovative communities for entrepreneurs. The process revealed key themes that are critical for the success of a dynamic entrepreneurial environment, such as culture, space, governance, and tools. In addition, we further engaged with Lassonde to imagine new learning models for the business and entrepreneurship students.

The project marked the first collaboration with the University of Utah and has led to other campus projects which have included: the Crocker Science Center, the Applied Sciences Center, the Epicenter and other current projects. * Developed while at Arup.
